@paul is there a way to “dynamically” add these associations? Thinking an API that could add the instances

in reply to @paul

@elazar @mwop @JosephLeedy this right here. It’s why my personal site redo is just languishing on a pile of many other half projects

I think being a techie/software engineer takes the “magic” out of the cool technology we take for advantage. It’s still super cool to me that I can tell Siri “goodnight” and the thermostat is changed to my preferred sleeping temp, all the right lights turn off, and! the security system is armed.

Sure I had to setup HomeBridge and a few other open source projects to get it all working, but that makes it even cooler!

@ieatkillerbees OH NOOOOO. Why must the R and T buttons be next to each other. Thankfully, I don’t have to pay a maniac money to edit and fix it

@nunomaduro is there a resource for high fidelity Laravel logos? I’m working on a presentation for Nova and would like to include the nova logo

Anyone know if Taylor Otwell is on Mastodon, or is he still on Twitter?

@josh we’ve met with our account manager, who btw was laid off and we still haven’t been given a replacement, multiple times since September of last year explaining our business, our use case, etc.

We get to launch, things are great, and suddenly our phone number registration for customers is just unilaterally rejected, tanking our delivery rate to 30%.

My patience remaining the “good guy” is wearing thing

in reply to @josh

In a single day I’ve gone from enjoying Twilio, to finding them to be the bane of my existence and the ruin of a project I’ve been on for the last 6-8 months. Yayyyy

Friend of mine was laid off today, if you have any leads on Billing/Support manager type roles let me know.

Figuring out or confirming you’re on the spectrum at thirty is weird. There’s a part of me that still feels like a “phony” because I haven’t had an official official diagnosis. But I trust my therapist when she says I’m on the spectrum and masking.

Part of what feeds into that phony feeling is knowing that the spectrum comes with a variety of challenges, and I guess feeling bad that I’ve adapted and adjusted while others struggle and suffer.

I guess that’s related to my struggle to admit that what’s “made me stronger” was actually a struggle I shouldn’t have had to bear. Or at least not one I had to bear alone, and uninformed.

I will say though, it’s wild evaluating your past and starting to actually see the signs of “oh man, how did I not know I was on the spectrum in this moment?!”

Well, Mastodon and work pretty well on plane wifi. Good job my little DO instance, you’re doing it. Also, I’ll update you this weekend, promise lol

@ramsey gotta keep it fresh

in reply to @ramsey

@awoodsnet @kboyd almost every app I work on that has an API gets a “don’t go JSON waterfalls” Easter egg

in reply to @awoodsnet

@[email protected] @ramsey @dabernathy89 ooooh, called out Daniel.

@RyanHyde I’ve got a subscription too, I believe. But it is free as well. Wasn’t 100% the direction I was looking for, but would still work

Are there any good Google Sheets alternatives out there for someone who wants to avoid Google as much as possible? Paid is fine, if reasonable and wouldn’t require other users to pay to contribute.

@kboyd @Crell true. Original thought would be neighborhoods or a macro level higher could register instances. So like {neighborhood}.neighbors.social.

in reply to @kboyd

@Crell well the domains I purchased. neighbors.social may be for naught now lol

in reply to @Crell

@Crell hmm, not a bad point. Also a slight bummer
