@heiglandreas Hmmm, is it Kronald Frump? Nah that doesn’t seem right
@ian @heiglandreas hey I know that guy
@JosephLeedy I saw the going to space thing and just thought “what the actual fuck is going on”
Very much where I’m at right now. Hoping all I wind up having to do is getting out of the hell hole that is Texas.

@grmpyprogrammer it’s a nice drive. When I was looking I tried out Polestar and the Mach-E. The Polestar felt “fancier” with more bells and whistles, but the Mach-E just felt better. Especially as someone who frankly hates driving but lives somewhere that requires them to get from point A to B
@grmpyprogrammer how was the Mach-E? As an owner of one, been decently happy myself
Recently I’ve determined that as far as things go in the state of Texas, I’ve not been represented appropriately in years, if not decades. That feeling sucks big time, especially as I watch the issue get worse not better in realtime
I’ve been stuck in this rut for a week now. I want to do something creative, make something either with code or physical objects.. but no energy, or focus, or motivation to actually do the thing
The perpetually gray and rainy weather in Austin today is at least very accurate to how I feel about this country and “celebrating” its birthday.
I think #Laravel #Nightwatch is neat so far, but I somehow ate all of my plans events in two days for Cache Events. I've looked everywhere, and I cannot find anything to tell me what exactly those cache events are so I could silence them or something... bummer.
After a week or so of things being broken, finally realized why my Mastdon instance was all jacked up. I moved my DNS off of DigitalOcean and over to Cloudflares.. which doesn’t support SSL for free more than one subdomain deep. Social.Skrasek.us was covered, but not my media bucket domain: files.social.skrasek.us.
Begrudgingly threw $10/month at Cloudflare, and we’re back in business
@jay You pretty much called out the three main features I like and want. I’ll check out Zen Browser and see how it is
Ya know, Arc really worked for me outside of a few things I wished were different. I know it’s not going anywhere and I can keep using it, but… staying with it for the long term feels like a trap more than a good idea.
I really hate browser shopping. Finding one that has/does what I liked about Arc is going to be a pain in the ass.
Where’s the AI that can just find the replacement for me? That’d be more useful than trivializing Studio Ghilbi’s artistic style.
This Memorial Day I remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for this country willingly, or unwillingly (drafted). I mourn the loss of family, friends, lovers, but most importantly as of late I mourn the loss of my childhood innocence. Sometimes I miss when the world was simpler, and I actually believed I lived in the best country out there, and not what it actually is, and has been for some time.
